Business Cards That Don't Get Thrown Away

Most business cards have a lifespan of about 30 seconds before they're dropped into a bag, forgotten, and eventually binned. But it doesn't have to be that way.

The cards that survive are the ones that do something a little unexpected. Maybe they're die-cut into an unusual shape. Maybe they double as a loyalty card. Maybe the back has a useful reference - a coffee ratio guide for a cafe, a quick measurement chart for a tradesperson.

Functional cards stick around. Cards that look like miniature works of art stick around. Cards that feel luxurious stick around.

Think about who you're handing your card to and what they actually care about. Then design backwards from there.
